Collaboration: It's What's Now... and Next

Collaboration: It's What's Now... and Next

Collaboration is genuinely one of my favorite things.  Working in a solid partnershp or with a really good team is so, very satisfying to me.  And when that partnership is family... it's even better.  I did my first collaborative chalk art piece for Food Truck Fridays this year with my youngest.   She designed the character and sketched it out, I added some hair and burger.  🤣

We already worked together on The Sorry Monster.  She designed both versions of the monster who were then sent off to my illustrator to run with.  I'm so proud of this fact that I have a huge framed poster in my office showcasing "The Making Of The Sorry Monster".  She's also the main character in both Find Your Happy and The Sorry Monster.  (I do have two more kids and yes, they all appear in all of my books in one way or another).

She's quite the creative.  She's already getting into art shows and winning awards.  And this summer, she's also working on illustrating my next series of books, geared towards teenagers/young adults.

I'm stupid excited for this.  These writings have been developing over the past year as our family has dealt with further shattering, parental alienation, more loss... but also more healing.  And almost every family who has purchased my children's books are asking for more books, specifically for teens.

So we are answering the call.  Excited to share the end results... but even more excited for the process.

Whether she’s empowering kids (and adults) with the messages in her books, showing people their true beauty through her photos, connecting business owners with their ultimate success, or rubbing her fingerprints off on the pavement with sidewalk chalk, it’s all done with one thing in mind;

uplifting others.
